Concentrated biocultures for soil and foliar application

“The soil should contain an abundance of microbial life”. Under optimal conditions of moisture, temperature and pH with a balance of nutrients available, this will be true and the population will perform its desired function in the environmental cycle. Deviations from the optimal cause a slowing down of existing bio systems, which may even cease functioning entirely. BACTOLIFE is a highly concentrated culture of over 20 strains of micro organisms in proper ratio to repopulate the soil and foliage and to re-establish balanced bioactivity. The blend includes Bacillus strains such as B subtilis and B mageterium together with Rhizobia, Azotobacter (nitrogen fixers), Sacchoromyces and other natural strains. There are no pathogens or harmful organisms present.

BACTOLIFE DP 104 is a dried culture of a selected spectrum of microorganisms that can be quickly reactivated and applied to the soil or to other growing media to introduce beneficial bacteria and fungi that will protect the plant against such fungal pathogens as Rhizoctonia, Phytophthora, Fusarium, Pythium, Sclerotinia etc.

BACTOLIFE DP 104 contains a number of Rhizohillic Bacillus species together with associated synergistic support organisms. Together they provide a living shield against potential pathogens. This is accomplished by crowding out attackers and by consuming the root exudates which attracts them.

APPLICATION TECHNIQUES

BACTOLIFE DP 104 can be used in various ways. The powder may be applied as a seed dressing and should be mixed with the seed prior to sowing and sown with the seed. Because seeds vary in weight and sowing rates the recommendation is made on a weight per hectare basis and DP 104 should be added to provide 1 Kilo/ha.

Liquids for soil or compost drenches can be prepared by reactivating DP 104 in a nutrient solution in as similar process to the manufacture of compost tea. Alternatively it can be reactivated in warm water. DP 104 can also be added directly to some liquid placement fertilisers again to apply about 1 Kilo/ha.

BACTOLIFE S

FOLIAR TREATMENT

BACTOLIFE S is a concentrated bio-culture containing over 20 strains of microorganisms. The blend includes Bacillus strains together with Rhizobia, Sacchoromyces, Azotobacter, and other natural strains. There are no pathogenic organisms present.

When re-activated in nutrient solution BACTOLIFE S produces a potent mix of beneficial organisms able to colonise the surface of leaves and stems. This provides an effective barrier against airborne pathogenic fungi. BACTOLIFE S can be used alone or as an additive to conventional compost tea.

In order to obtain the best protection against disease it is recommended that foliar application of BACTOLIFE S are used as part of an overall Bioagronomy programme that includes MYCORTEX, BACTOLIFE S or BACTOLIFE DP 104. The reason for this lies in the fact that “plants are healthy from the roots up” and an active bio-population in the root zone initiates disease resistance which is then supported by the foliar applications.

BACTOLIFE F40 COMPOSTING SEED

BACTOLIFE F40 COMPOSTING SEED is a dry, stable buff coloured powder which contains a balanced blend of powerful biological accelerators with selected bacterial and fungal cultures. It is capable of liquefying, digesting and composting most forms of organic solid waste materials to produce non-septic deodorized humus on an economic basis.

Cellulose, lignin and protopectin are among the most common components of solid domestic and industrial wastes. To convert the fibrous structure of these materials into a soluble fluid requires biological agents. Bio-seeding of these wastes with highly active bacterial and fungal cultures result in a high level of decomposing activity. BACTOLIFE F40 COMPOSTING SEED provides accelerators and proper bio-seed necessary to start and to maintain an efficient composting operation.

BACTOLIFE F95 (ALGAE – BAC)

BACTOLIFE F95 contains a range of aerobic and aerobic organisms developed to populate ponds and lakes and to prevent the growth of algae. This occurs because the bacteria present in F95 multiply rapidly and out-compete algae for the nutrients present in the water. Green algae need light to function and are dormant at night whilst bacteria function at all times so they can quickly starve out the competition.

BACTOLIFE F95 is also able to break down organic sludges at the bottom of ponds and lakes reducing odour and potential disease sources for fish. It has no organisms that are dangerous to fish.

BACTOLIFE F95 comes as an easy to use powder that can be dispersed in water and added to ponds. For larger lakes it is available in water soluble sachets that can be thrown out across the surface and will rapidly dissolve.
