| Agricultural Biostimulant BIOHUMATE contains a unique blend of natural source ingredients that work directly in the soil to improve its fertility resulting in healthier, higher yielding crops. The over all benefits are: - Increased Cation Exchange Capacity
- Increased Nutrient Absorption
- Reduction of Nutrient Leaching
- Increased Stress Tolerance and Plant Vigour
BIOHUMATE achieves these results by combining the properties of humic acid with a plant glycoside. They work together to improve the physical and chemical nature of the soil and at the same time, increase the activity of the beneficial microorganisms around the root zone. Function in the soil Improving the physical structure of the soil obviously permits better root development and penetration that allows the plant to make use of applied or available nutrients. Humic acid has a high cation exchange capacity (CEC) and acts as a reservoir for major and minor nutrients improving their availability. Increased activity by the microorganisms in the root zone improves the synergistic relationship between the plant and its attendant rhizosphere again improving soil structure, the availability of nutrients and also reducing the incidence of crop disease. Water and oxygen need to be able to move through the soil and to become available in the root zone. The improved structure of the soil that results from the direct action of BIOHUMATE, together with the micro tilling, that occurs as a result of the microbial action, gives the soil a friable crumb structure, this allows water and air to move and prevents stagnation, reducing the conditions in which fungal infections an occur. The need for organic matter in the soil is clear. The addition of BIOHUMATE, which contains a concentrated form of the beneficial part of rich humus, enables the grower to quickly obtain the performance of a good organic soil. It also creates the conditions whereby crop residues and other added organic wastes are broken down in the soil to return to the natural cycle. Application BIOHUMATE is applied at 3 litres/ha at the time of sowing and twice more at 4 weekly intervals2-4 times. On very low organic soils apply the full 9 litres at sowing. It should be diluted in 200 litres of water per hectare prior to spraying. It can also be incorporated into irrigation or drip feed systems. Storing and Handling BIOHUMATE is an alkaline liquid and must be handled with care. Keep sealed in original containers in cool conditions. |
